2026 NonProfit Initiative

Big news for 2026 and we need your help.

Starting January 1, 2026, every welcome gift we deliver and every hyperlocal newsletter we send will highlight 5 local non-profits. Why? Because neighbors help neighbors, and we want to make it easier to volunteer, donate, and get involved.

What’s a “Welcome Gift”?
A hand-delivered gift we bring to new homeowners – practical, memorable, and designed to introduce trusted local businesses and now 5 spotlight local non-profits. It has information about local companies, special offers and in 2026 helpful information about 5 special organizations.

Who gets it?
New homeowners across the Triangle. We currently knock on about 12,000 doors each year and have real conversations right on the doorstep.

Why include non-profits?
Because building community isn’t just about buying stuff – it’s pitching in. Our twice-monthly newsletters reach thousands of local residents, and we’ll showcase ways to help: volunteer needs, donation drives, events, and wish-lists.

Why would a non-profit want to participate?
1. Increased awareness, local reach: Face-to-face introductions to new neighbors + repeated exposure in hyperlocal newsletters.
2. Action, not just awareness: Clear CTAs (volunteer, donate, attend) that convert goodwill into impact.
3. Consistency: Featured in every welcome gift and frequently landing in inboxes – stacking touchpoints.
4. Community alignment: We match missions with neighborhoods so support feels personal and local.

Numbers that matter

Bonus FAQs
Is there a cost for non-profits? There are no fees. We’re prioritizing mission-driven groups so we can perhaps amplify impact and we are including them in our service offerings at no charge. They would need to provide a supply of 4×6 cards that tout their mission, purpose and call(s) to action so that we can include those in the welcome gifts.

What kinds of non-profits? Think youth programs, food security, animal rescue, arts, senior services, veterans, environment, and more.

How are the 5 chosen? Community nominations + fit with The Welcome Company + needs (volunteers, events, drives, fundraising).

If you believe strong neighborhoods are built on handshakes, helping hands, and word-of-mouth, help us spread the word – tag, share, and recommend a non-profit below. Let’s make 2026 the year the Triangle shows up perhaps just a little bit more for each other. 💚
